Terms of Service
(Updated January 2026)
By engaging with The Scoop LLC, you are partnering with a premium waste management provider dedicated to the health of your pets and the cleanliness of your community. The following terms ensure the highest standard of safety and sanitation for your property.
1. Professional Scope of Service
The Sanitation Standard: We provide expert dog waste removal for residential and commercial properties. To prevent cross-contamination, all tools and footwear are disinfected with a parvocidal/virucidal solution between every service visit.
Waste Disposal: Waste is double-bagged and placed in your designated outdoor trash receptacle. Off-site hauling is available for an additional fee.
Yard Conditions: Our "Professional-Grade" promise relies on yard visibility. Waste hidden by tall grass (over 4"), heavy leaf cover, or deep snow may be missed. We will address these areas as soon as conditions improve.
2. Access & Safety (The "Safe Yard" Policy)
Unobstructed Access: Gates must be unlocked and functional on your service day. If we cannot access the yard (due to locks, ice, or obstructions), the visit is skipped and charged in full. This covers the reserved time slot and the double-accumulation we will manage on the next visit.
Pet Safety: For the safety of our technicians and your pets, aggressive or highly protective dogs must be secured indoors. We reserve the right to decline entry if a dog’s behavior is deemed unpredictable.
Gate Security: We are committed to property integrity. We will double-check latches upon exit, but The Scoop LLC is not liable for pets escaping due to structural fence failure or faulty hardware.
3. Subscription Billing & Payments
Flat-Rate Model: Services are billed monthly. This rate is based on an annual average of visits; we do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial weeks or individual skipped visits.
Auto-Pay: All clients must maintain a valid payment method on file via our secure processor (Zoho Payments). Subscriptions are charged monthly on your anniversary start date.
Late Fees: Payments failed for more than 15 days incur a late fee of $15 or 5% (whichever is greater).
4. Service Pauses & Reactivation
Because waste continues to accumulate regardless of service status, "pausing" requires a catch-up effort upon return.
Short Lapses (15–30 Days): A Reactivation Fee ($75) applies to cover the heavy accumulation.
Long Lapses (31+ Days): Requires a Heavy Cleanup service starting at $150.
Vacation Credits: For weekly/twice-weekly clients, we offer two (2) service credits per year if you provide 7 days' notice and dogs will not be on the property.
5. Weather & Holidays
Operational Safety: We work in rain and cold. However, service may be paused during blizzards, lightning, or extreme ice. We do not offer credits for weather skips; instead, we clear the accumulated "double waste" on your next safe service day.
Holiday Schedule: We observe all major holidays. Service falling on a holiday will either be shifted to an adjacent day or handled as a "double scoop" on the following week.
6. Liability & Property
The Scoop LLC is not responsible for normal "wear and tear" on lawns, or damage to property left in the yard (hoses, toys, lights). You are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for our technicians.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To avoid the next billing cycle, cancellation requests must be submitted at least seven (7) days prior to your billing date. No refunds are issued for unused time within a current billing period.
